Enchanting Extras To Enhance Your Disney Vacation

There are over 70 experiences that are part of the Enchanting Extras Collection at Walt Disney World. Enchanting Extras are a wide range of experiences that add moments of magic to your Disney trip beyond what typical day guests experience. Learn more about Enchanting Extras and some of the ones you can experience on your Disney trip below. 

What Is an Enchanting Extra? ​

An Enchanting Extra is a term that groups a wide range of different recreational activities and special events at Disney World. From in-park experiences like the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Magic Kingdom to cake decorating classes at Disney Springs, these add-on experiences help you explore Disney property (and your own creativity) in a whole new way. 

Booking Enchanting Extras

Enchanting Extras can be booked 60 days before your trip. Reservations are limited, so it’s best to book early. If you choose an experience in one of the theme parks, you’ll need valid theme park admission and a theme park reservation (for experiences before January 9, 2024).

Firework Dessert Parties 
There are several offerings if you want a sweet way to enjoy Magic Kingdom fireworks, like the ones below:

FerryTale Fireworks Dessert Cruise 
Set sail aboard one of the ferryboats from the Transportation and Ticket Center at Magic Kingdom for a dessert party and fireworks viewing from the middle of the Seven Seas Lagoon. You’ll sample delicious themed desserts, fizzy drinks, and bubbly cocktails.

Magic Kingdom Dessert Parties 
There are currently three different dessert party options at the Magic Kingdom: Pre-Party, Seats and Sweets, and Post-Party. Each dessert party reservation includes reserved viewing of Happily Ever After and buffet-style desserts, drinks (including beer and wine), and cheeses at the Tomorrowland Terrace. Pre and Post Party guests can view the fireworks from a reserved standing area at the Plaza Garden, while those who choose Seats and Sweets stay at Tomorrowland Terrace during the fireworks and have reserved seating on the patio. A similar dessert party is also offered during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (you’ll need party admission to take advantage of this dessert experience). 

Celebration at the Top
Get a bird’s eye view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks from a private lounge at the top of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. 

Horseback Riding and Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides
Horseback riding is offered at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground for kids and adults ages nine and older. Each 45-minute ride takes you through wooded equestrian paths throughout the resort. Horse-drawn carriage rides are available throughout the year at Fort Wilderness and Port Orleans—Riverside. Each carriage fits four adults and lasts 25 minutes, where you’ll explore beautiful scenery while taking a nostalgic look at the past. For younger ranchers, pony rides are available at Tri-Circle D Ranch at Fort Wilderness.  

Cabana Rentals 
Private cabana rentals are available at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park and these select Disney Resorts: 

• Disney’s Contemporary Resort
• Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa 
• Yacht and Beach Club 

You must be an overnight guest to rent a cabana at one of these resorts. Cabanas offer guaranteed shade and a cool place to chill throughout the day, even during the heat of summer. It’s a great add-on experience to a resort day by the pool! Cabanas feature ceiling fans, padded furniture such as lounge chairs and a couch, a mini fridge (stocked with drinks), a Bluetooth speaker, and even a TV with cable. At Typhoon Lagoon, cabanas also come with refillable mugs you can use throughout the day. 
Capture Your Moment 
Capture Your Moment offers 20-minute private photo sessions with a dedicated PhotoPass photographer at select locations throughout the Disney parks. These photo sessions are great for celebrating special moments like engagements, proposals, and family reunions and ensuring everyone gets in the picture. You can book multiple sessions if you want more time for pictures at the parks. While photos must be purchased separately, the downloads are included if you have a Memory Maker. ​

Sporting Adventures 
There are tons of extras for sports lovers throughout Disney World. Book a fishing excursion where you’ll enjoy catch-and-release bass fishing on Bay Lake or Seven Seas Lagoon. Golf enthusiasts can book 18 holes on one of Disney’s four golf courses, or the family can enjoy a round of mini-golf at two unique courses. Want to improve your golf game? Book a private golf lesson with a PGA professional from Arnold Palmer Golf Management. You can even test out your archery skills like Merida at Fort Wilderness.
