Escape to Paradise: Sandals® Dunn’s River

Sandals’ newest location in the Caribbean opened this week! Sandals Dunn’s River is the resort brand’s 17th all-inclusive destination in the Caribbean and the third in the Ocho Rios area of Jamaica. Check out the highlights of this new resort here! 

Location ​

Sandals Dunn’s River is located in the Ocho Rios area of Jamaica, along the island’s north shore. Ocho Rios is a bustling resort area filled with natural attractions, such as Dunn’s River Falls (which the resort is named after), Blue Hole, and Green Grotto. Exploring these natural wonders is a short excursion away from the resort. The resort sits on the historic Arawak Hotel site, built in the 1950s by legendary architect Morris Lapidus. The resort infuses the character of the original design in a whole new way.
  
The resort pays homage to the nearby Dunn’s River Falls, with cascading waterfalls, river pools, a luscious tropical landscape, and a pristine white-sand beach spread throughout the resort. The resort even sources water from the nearby river for its lobby waterfalls and the pools at Red Lane Spa.
 
Sandals Dunn’s River is also close to Sandals Ochi. You can experience all the amenities and activities at Sandals Ochi for free through exchange privileges included with your stay. Complimentary transportation between the resorts is also included.

Accommodations ​

Sandals Dunn’s River boasts 260 guest rooms spanning 14 types of room categories, so you can find the perfect room or suite for you. Some of the standout, top-tier accommodations at Dunn’s River include: 

Coyaba Sky Swim-Up Rondoval Butler Suite 
This is the most luxurious line of suites on the property. These round, private villas have swim-up access to one of the river pools, a private pool, and the brand’s first-ever rooftop terraces. The terraces include a complete dining set, furniture, and even a telescope for stargazing at night. As a butler suite, you’ll enjoy all the amenities this level accommodation offers, including a dedicated butler who will ensure you receive white-glove service throughout your trip, like serving your meals and drinks on the beach or at the pool.
 
Tufa Terrace SkyPool Butler Suites 
Another new butler-level suite at Dunn’s River features a glass-panel infinity edge pool that spans the entire length of your private, oceanfront balcony. You can’t get a better view! 
  
Mammee Bay Beachfront Butler Suites® 
When you want to spend your days basking in the sun and gazing at the beautiful turquoise water from the privacy of our room, a Mammee Bay suite is for you. The suite’s expansive balcony overlooks the ocean and has dazzling stunning sunset views. 

Travertine Beachfront Club Level Rooms 
These beachfront rooms include a private balcony with a soaking tub, a king-sized bed, and a walk-in shower. Club-level rooms at Sandals feature concierge services and a 24-hour lounge with a tea and coffee station, beverages, snacks, board games, a flat-screen TV, and more.

Activities ​

Sandals Dunn’s River features all the included activities you expect from Sandals, which is known to offer more inclusions than any other all-inclusive resort brand. Tee off at the nearby Sandals Upton Estate Golf & Country Club (green fees are included), discover the ocean with complimentary scuba diving and snorkeling equipment, and raft along the Martha Brae River. A wide range of water and land sports like paddleboarding, kayaking, tennis, and basketball are also included. There is a full-service fitness center, as well. The resort features a pristine white-sand beach and seven pools, too! 

Dining ​

When you book your stay at Sandals Dunn’s River, you get access to 12 restaurants and nine bars, all included with your vacation package. From coffee bars featuring Jamaica’s freshly harvested beans and nitro cold brew to lounges that include Jamaica’s largest selection of Caribbean rums, you’ll never run out of culinary experiences to enjoy. There are also a wide variety of full-service eateries at the resort, including:

• Hamani—featuring Izakaya sushi
• Edessa— serving Greek specialties

• L’Amande—serving gourmet French dining

There are also several snack and open-air restaurants, like a pizzeria and a seaside grill.
